Inner Beauty

Your inner beauty wants to glow and shine into the world. The first step is to create self-awareness by locating your passions and using them positively to create self-satisfaction. Disclose your talents and feel the drive of creation as you become both the artist and the work of art. Then your inner beauty will grow and radiate to your  outer self and shine where ever you are.

Take time to find your unique gifts and develop them. Get motivated to create self-satisfaction, enjoyment, beauty and harmony around you. Nurture a positive self-image, by doing this, you make your life richer and more meaningful. You have an inner self to explore, do it, the discovery of self can be the most exciting of all discoveries.

“Go confidently into the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler.” – Henry David Thoreau

“Develop interest in life as you see it; in people, things, literature, music – the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Forget yourself.” – Henry Miller

“Often people attempt to live their lives backward: they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so that they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who your really are, then, do what you need to do, in order to have what you want.” –Margaret Young.

“Life shrinks and expands in proportion to one’s courage.” -Anais Nin

“Always leave enough time in your life to do something that makes you happy, satisfied, even joyous. That has more of an effect on economic well-being than any other single factor.”-Paul Hawken

“He who knows others is wise; he who know himself is enlightened.” -Lao-tzu

Some simple steps towards making your inner beauty glow…

1. Make 3 positive affirmations, such as  “I’m greatly creative, my passions lead me to creation, as I am open to it, I will be led.” Or “I am a wonderfully talented being,  I develop my talents each day”  Repeat your affirmations 10 times daily.  To let our inner beauty glow we must believe in it. Affirmations are the best way to reprogramming our brain and transforming our thoughts into healthy, powerful positive thoughts that will change the way we see ourselves and ultimately will change our life and the world around us to the very best it can be.

3. Treat yourself to personal time away from family and friends to do something that makes you feel happy and fulfilled at least once a week, something you do only for yourself and set your mind to enjoying it by yourself. Take time to learn and experience the things you are passionate about. Learn to love your own company.

4. Keep a private journal and write in it faithfully everyday. Let the distractions, injuries, worries, plans, hopes and ideas flow from your brain to the paper. This will help to clear your mind, focus on what is positive and release ideas and beliefs that may be holding you back.

5. Take time regularly to go inward with meditation or prayer. Trust in the power of creation that is in all and also is within you.

Inner beauty is the most important feature in human beings. All of our words and deeds should flow from our inner beauty, from the truth of our souls.  Inner beauty shows itself in many ways, happiness, joy, freedom, excitement for life, positive outlook. Helping, giving, smiling, playing, enjoying your being, creating, experimenting with your thoughts, ideas, visions, dreaming, flying on your dreams, daring to live the life you imagine. Looking after yourself, pampering you. Loving you, loving the people around you, not holding grudges. Forgiving.. Not giving in to anger. Hope. Believe Be who you want to be.

Love is an expression of inner beauty. Hope is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one’s life and the lives of others. This can only come from a place of inner beauty.  Compassion comes from inner beauty, don’t hold back your compassion for other beings.

Outer beauty cannot exist without inner beauty.  A beautiful waterfall, a majestic mountain or the brilliant stars in heaven, can it be enjoyed without inner beauty? No.

A person can be attracted by outward beauty only to find on closer examination that it is ugly on the inside. A beautiful looking person can be filled with hatred or with love. Inner beauty is thet beauty iwhich never fades away and it glows in the world for ever.

Physical things in life can do absolutely nothing  for the soul.  We need to feed the soul otherwise it starves.  It creates misery. Wonder why people who have all physical things they can ever want are still unhappy?  Do they have a starving souls?

You can feed your soul with acts of kindness and love, and by developing your talents and being creative,  also with prayer and meditation.  Since we maintain our bodies by eating every day we should maintain our souls too, daily. Wonder what is wrong with the world? Why are there so many killings, so much hatred, disasters, poverty, etc. Could it be due to many starving souls?

There is a huge lack of balance between body, mind and soul in our world. By your working on achieving  balance in your life you are greatly improving the world.

  • Regarding our body, nowadays we are all very worried about our shapes and figures, keeping fit and attractive bodies.

We need a mind set on fitness, it is important due to the society we live in.

In our society , the way we live in the western world we are mostly set up to become over weight, sad but true, specially women after childbirth and middle age men with tedious jobs. This is the way it is.  Our life style, our jobs,  the food we eat. A woman or a man who wants to keep fit, must fight against society, for it is an almost certain destiny to be over weight.  This is a fight  only until we integrate healthy living  as part of our life style.Exercise and become food health wise.

Ancient  Secrets to enhance inner beauty and make it glow in the outside…

The ancient women cared for their skin with oatmeal and milk and honey, and Cleopatra was legendary for her milk baths. To recreate her recipe, try this at home:

Rich Milk Wash

1. cup powdered goat’s milk ,1 cup quick-cooking oats. Process in a blender or food processor until extremely fine. To use as a facial scrub, use 2 tablespoons, moistened with warm water. Gently rub into skin and rinse. (You can also add these into the bath.) The lactic acids in the milk are a natural source of alpha hydroxyl acids that help fight the signs of aging, and the oats soothe and manually exfoliate the skin. Together, these ingredients will leave your skin unbelievably soft and supple.

Honey was extremely valuable in ancient days and a symbol of divine blessing. Women applied it to their skin, along with oils, as part of their bathing ritual. “Honey is not sticky when used on damp skin,” “Honey works to give the skin a beautiful glow and to plump up fine lines. It’s a natural humectant and exfoliant, and gives the skin better absorption of product.”

Try the ancient healing power of honey at home:

Honey Tonic

Apply 1–2 drops honey to wet fingertips and massage onto wet face. Do not rinse. Pat dry. Use wherever fine lines, or blemishes, are a problem.

Ancient women did more than perfume themselves before a romantic evening: they perfumed their beds. The most common scents included cinnamon and spices, which modern science confirms may work to increase a man’s arousal.

Romantic Linen Spray

In a clean spraying bottle, place spring water and 3-6 drops of your favorite essential oil. You can also substitute pure baking extracts, such as vanilla, anise, and cinnamon.

Ancient worship rituals included burning incense to God. The rising smoke was believed to carry the prayers of the faithful to heaven. Certain incense blends were created to be used for sacred temples and forbidden to be used elsewhere. The ancients knew that scent sets the mood, allowing us to let go of our immediate concerns and return to a sacred setting more easily.

You can duplicate their peaceful, relaxing atmosphere by using a special scented candle during your meditation or quiet times of reflection. Do not use the scent for anything other than these special times of relaxation and restoration.

Part of the gifts of the Wise Men to the infant Jesus, myrrh, was a precious perfume oil in the ancient world. Renowned for its ability to soothe skin and fight wrinkles, myrrh is still available today in the essential oil section of any health store. You can take advantage of this ancient wonder by using myrrh as a facial sprite to moisturize, refresh, and combat wrinkles.

Myrrh Facial Spray

In a small sprite bottle, combine purified water with 1–2 drops of myrrh essential oil. Use this spray to set your makeup, refresh your skin throughout the day and replenish  moisture, and also for a fast stress-relieving break.

Vinegar was as common as wine in biblical days, and different varieties were made by the addition of herbs.  It can slow carbohydrate absorption and encourage stable blood sugar. It may also contribute to weight loss.

Vinegar Tonic

Take two tablespoons of vinegar before meals, twice a day. Many people find raspberry  vinegar to have a better taste than apple cider.

In biblical days, flax was a common food source and material for linen. Today, researchers believe the omega-3 fatty acids in flax may help the body regulate lepton, which helps you lose weight and burn fat more efficiently. Because ground flax seed is so rich in fiber, it may help keep your blood sugar stable and help you avoid low-blood sugar munchies.

Try…

One to two tablespoons a day. For maximum benefit and taste, buy a coffee grinder and whole flax seeds, and grind a little fresh every morning to add onto your cereal, toast, or breakfast shake.

Cinnamon was used as a sacred anointing oil and perfume. Modern research tells us that consuming cinnamon plays a role in regulating blood sugar. By adding cinnamon supplements to your diet each day you may help boost your glucose metabolism, prevent blood sugar spikes, improve cholesterol levels, and help your body return to its natural weight.

Try…

The studied dosage is the equivalent of ¼ to ½ teaspoon daily. Supplements are a convenient way to get your cinnamon each day, and are quite inexpensive. Cinnamon sprinkled on your food may not be as beneficial, since saliva contains a chemical harmful to cinnamon.

Pistachios were both eaten and used to make skin preparations in biblical times. Today, we know pistachios are rich in carotenoids, the phytonutrient that can help “block sunlight-induced inflammation of the skin, which leads to wrinkles. One ounce of pistachios contains more fiber than a half-cup of spinach and the same amount as an orange or apple. More fiber means you’ll stay full longer, which helps with appetite control.

Consume 1 ounce per day, preferably from raw pistachios

Take note of this natural ancient beauty tip, for inner beauty to come out and glow in the surface.
